Texas County authorities said a New Mexico man was arrested on drug complaints after officers found marijuana in his car following a traffic stop.

A probable cause affidavit states Michael Herrera, 21, was arrested for trafficking an illegal drug within 2,000 feet of a school or park. Herrera was stopped on U.S. 54, and he gave officers permission to search his car.

Investigators said they found 29.1 pounds of marijuana in bags inside a coat and bags in the spare tire well of the car.
