Norma Coffman

Norma Jean Coffman, 83, long time area resident passed away Saturday evening, June 27, 2009 at the Dunaway Manor in Guymon.

Norma was born February 16, 1926 at the family home in Texas County, Oklahoma to Geneva (Callahan) and Elmer Kirk.

Norma was married to Novie Coffman on February 14, 1944. Born to this union were five children: Robert, Steven, David, Tina and Serena. Norma worked many years as a dietician at Dunaway Manor and received numerous awards for her services. She had also served as a Pink Lady at Memorial Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Geneva and Art Rahm and Elmer Kirk; one son, Steven Coffman; one granddaughter, Jeanna Coffman and one great grandson, Austin Coffman.

She is survived by her children: Robert Coffman and wife, Cheryl of Guymon, David Coffman and wife, Diane of Almena, Kansas, Tina Spencer and husband, Gary of Fort Worth, Texas, Serena Riewe of Seymour, Wisconsin; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Coffman Bremer of Elkhart, Kansas; eleven grandchildren: Rilla and husband, Justin Collins, Hope and husband, Steve Coen, Timothy Coffman, Brad and wife, Robin Coffman, Stephany Coffman, Jeremy Todd and wife, Victoria Coffman, Dustin Coffman, Debbie Baker, Misty and husband, Larry Parker, Jessie and husband, Benjamin Stukenburg, and Emily Ann Riewe; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, Larry Rahm and wife, Joan of Gentry, Arkansas; one sister, Donna Daggs and husband, Larry of Corrales, New Mexico. Extended family includes Linda Bryan of Hooker and Shawnda Coffman Wallinger of Guymon, as well as many other friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning, June 30th at 10:00 a.m. at the Bunch – Roberts Chapel with Larry Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon. Services are under the care of the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home.

The Coffman family suggests that memorials be made to the Dunaway Manor. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
