Arcadia Conservation Education Area expansion begins
Officials with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation and guests gathered recently at the Arcadia Conservation Education Area, where they broke ground on a 7,000 square-foot education facility that will provide outdoor experiences to youth.
NatureWorks art show this weekend
Every year wildlife and nature artists from across the United States and abroad convene on the Tulsa Hotel and Convention Center to bring visitors the annual NatureWorks Art Show and Sale. This year more than 50 artists are expected to display their work today and Sunday.

Panhandle prep basketball playoff scores, skeds
CAPSULE: Beaver girls, Texhoma boys and Forgan’s boys and girls continued to advanced Friday in state prep basketball playoffs. All four play again today. Guymon Lady Tigers fell to Elk City, so their playoff chances are ended.

Goodwell, Okla. — The Lady Aggie basketball team, representing Oklahoma Panhandle State University, was on their home court on Thursday night for a matchup with the Dustdevils of Texas A&M International University. The Dustdevils got the win, 82-51.

Goodwell, Okla. — The Dustdevils of Texas A&M International University held off a furious Oklahoma Panhandle State rally to edge the Aggies 71-69 here on Thursday night. Both teams are part of the Heartland Conference and it was as good a basketball game as has been played in Goodwell in some time.
