There’s strong winds moving behind that strong cold front out of Canada that is pushing through here.

The Panhandles have a strong wind advisory in effect until 7 p.m. tonight. We’re talking sustained winds of 35 to 45 mph and gusts up to 60! Hang on to small children, small pets and your steering wheel!

We’re also under a freeze watch through 10 a.m. Thursday, which means sub-freezing temperatures are likely. These conditions can kill crops and other sensitive vegetation. Sub-freezing temperatures are also expected Friday morning.
