Fall weather on tap for weekend

Mother Nature is lagging behind the calendar this year as fall officially started back on Sept. 22 with the fall equinox — when night and day are of equal length.

But she’s caught up now and rarin’ to go, bring with her sunny, warm days and cool, clear nights and some wind, but that goes without saying.

We’re looking at temperatures in the mid to upper 70s through Sunday, highs near 70 on Monday and Tuesday when a cold front is expected to push through. Then behind that front, highs in the upper 50s for Wednesday and Thursday.

Overnight lows range in the mid to upper 40s until the cold front blows through. Then Tuesday night the mercury is forecast to drop to below 40 and into the mid-30s on Wednesday night.

The cold front will bring with it a 30 percent chance of rain on Monday night and 20 percent chance on Tuesday.

All in all, an excellent weekend for getting outdoors nad having fun before it’s just too darn cold to do exactly that. Enjoy it while you can!
