Hazel Ruth “Pat” Pitts, 68, of Guymon; passed away Tuesday morning, September 2nd, 2008 at the Dunaway Manor in Guymon.
Pat was born in Woodward, Oklahoma on October 19, 1939. She worked as a nurses aid for several years. She had lived in Garden City, Kansas for 25 years, moving to Guymon in 2005 to be near her daughter and care giver, Karen and husband, Kenneth Moore.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Odessa Fay (Castor) McCullough; her husband, Jesse Pitts in 2003; son, Ricky Eggers; grandson, Steven Kirkland; brother, William “Bill” Evans; and five sisters: Letha Lee, RoseAnna Shepherd, Yvonne Hintergardt, Viola Porter and Pauline Rainwater.
She is survived by two daughters: Verla Marie Eggers of Guymon and Karen and husband, Kenneth Moore of Guymon; two sons: Ron Eggers and wife, Shirley of Turpin, Oklahoma and Randy Eggers and wife, Connie of Guymon. Survivors also include eight grandchildren: Nancy Willis, Janie Hall, Randy Eggers, Jr., Lisa Eggers, Jamie Eggers, Darrell Eggers, Jace Eggers and Payton Eggers; seven great grandchildren: Kylie Willis, Rebecca Hall, Skyler Hall, Harley Eggers, Alaky Eggers, Anaya Eggers and Ricky Eggers; two great great grandchildren: Kenadie and Kimberlie Willis; and one sister, Gracie Caster of Woodward, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning, September 5th at 10:00 a.m. at the Bunch - Roberts Chapel with Rev. Tom Freeman, pastor of the Grace Southern Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Elmhurst Cemetery. The family will greet friends Thursday evening between the hours of 7 and 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
