Con. Mary Fallin and Con. Dan Boren are expected to attend a forum today to highlight efforts thus far to try to change federal law to mandate that farm truck weights for the purpose of interstate commerce be raised from 10,001 pounds to 26, 001 pounds.

Fallin and Boren are spearheading the farm truck weight reform by authoring H.R. 3098. Reps. Tom Cole, Frank Lucas and John Sullivan are co-sponsoring the legislation, which would improve federal trucking regulations. Fallin, who planned the forum, has invited all of the Oklahoma congressional delegation to attend to the forum, which is sceduled for 10 a.m. in the Blue Room at the State Capitol.

This would be good, if they will fund Transportation to repair the roads that will be effected.
