Well, we knew it was coming — there’s a 3-day holiday weekend staring us in the face and storm Gustav is taking a too-close-for-comfort look at the Gulf Coast — consequently gas prices climbed about a dime overnight here in Guymon. If you can find unleaded regular gas for under $3.599 a gallon — buy it, because it’s likely it won’t hold that price much longer.

According to AAA, the national average hiccuped to $3.669, up from $3.660 yesterday. Of course, one month ago the national average was $3.926, so that’s a good thing. The average in this great state of Oklahoma is $3.551 — so Guymon is high once again.
