Arnold F. Stump, 93, of Texhoma, Oklahoma; passed away Saturday morning, August 16th, 2008 at the Memorial Hospital of Texas County in Guymon, Oklahoma.

The son of Samuel and Laura (Barnett) Stump, he was born on June 27, 1915 in Ochiltree County Texas. The family moved to the Texhoma area in 1921. Mr. Stump had been engaged in farming the majority of his working life.

Arnold and Anna Ruth Ellis were united in marriage on May 25, 1940 in Dalhart, Texas. She preceded him in death in January of 2001.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anna Ruth; two sons, Terry and Troy Stump; two grandsons; four brothers, and four sisters.

Survivors include four sons and four daughters: Duane Stump of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, LuDean and husband, Herbert Neely of Ft. Worth, Texas, Robert Stump and wife, Sandi of Guymon, Rickey Stump and wife, Linda of Azle, Texas, Vicki and husband, Lanny Wilson of Guymon, Ronna Stump of Liberal, Kansas, Monty Stump and wife, Debbie of Texhoma, and Paula and husband, Gary Eslinger also of Texhoma, Oklahoma. Survivors also include one sister, Laura Mae Leonard of Dumas, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 19th at 1:30 p.m. in the Texhoma Cemetery, Texhoma, Texas with Rev. Mike Hughes pastor of the Texhoma First Christian Church officiating. Services are under the care of the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.

The Stump family request memorials be given to the Texhoma Fire Department or Ambulance Service. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Guymon, Oklahoma 73942.
