Lucile Knutson

            Lucile Knutson, 95, former Guymon resident; passed away Wednesday morning, July 30th, 2008 at her home in Amarillo, Texas.

 

            The daughter of Walter Lee and Amanda Caroline (Martin) Perry, she was born in Guymon on January 19, 1913.  Lucile attended the Guymon schools, graduating with the Class of 1930.  She was a homemaker and member of the Baptist Church.

 

            Lucile moved from Guymon to California in 1968.  In 1990 she moved to Oklahoma City, and in 1999 she moved to Amarillo to be near children.

 

            She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one sister, two brothers, and a grandson, Mike Schaef in 2002.

 

            Survivors include one son, Chuck (Bobby) McFadin and wife, Glenda of Covelo, California; three daughters: Bonnie Schaef of Oklahoma City, Carolyn Johnson and husband, Clint of Amarillo, and Linda Knutson also of Amarillo.  Survivors also include six grandchildren: Melanie Moore and husband, Johnny of Guymon, Rhett Schaef and wife, Roxanne of Perryton, Texas, Michelle Schaef Logan of Angleton, Texas, Patrick McFadin and wife, Andrea of Windsor, California, Mike McFadin and wife, Tracy of Blue River, Oregon, and Bryan McFadin of Sabastolpol, California; three step grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, two step great great grandchildren, two nieces and their families.. 

 

            The Knutson family wish to thank the BSA Hospice, and especially Twila, nurse to our mom for the loving care she received.

 

            Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon, August 1st at 1:00 p.m. at the Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon with Rev. Tom Freeman, pastor of the Grace Southern Baptist Church officiating.  Services are under the care of the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
